Artist's Comments

This is a little bit of fun I've been having the past two weeks. I wanted to create a compostion which breaks some of the compositional guidelines/rules of aviation art yet still maintains integrity as a pleasing work of art. This is the result.

For those interested, the aircraft is painted in the markings of 1st Lt. Russell Brown who is widely credited as having won the first jet vs jet dogfight by shooting down a MIG 15 during the Korean War. The backgound is the world's largest compass rose located on Rodgers Dry Lake at Edwards AFB.

What a beauty Mark. One of my favorite jets of all time. These things could really move out especially when you consider when they were built!
