The Sopwith Triplane was the first of it's type to see service during WW I. It was flown by several squadrons but perhaps most famously by No 10 naval Squadron.

During the months from May to July of 1917, "B" or "Black" Flight of No 10 naval Squadron accounted for 87 enemy aircraft shot down.

This painting depicts the Sopwith Triplanes of Ray Collishaw and W M Alexander - 10 Naval Squadron; "Black Flight".

Thank you Alice. Many times I try to create a scene with just that thought in mind.

Nice work as well. Was wondering if you gonna make some French aircrafts?

Thank you. I generally stick to US aircraft because those are the airplanes that my buyers flew and worked on. They also sell very well here in The States. The market is not too large for foreign aircraft but the British and German airplanes from WWII seem to have a pretty good following.

That being said I did do a Vautour a few years back. It dodn't sell well and I withdrew the print offering.

I do plan on doing a series of WWI pieces. I will definitely have to include a Nieuport and SPAD in the collection. The SPAD will probably be from the Hat In The Ring squadron though.

I understand perfectly. Like in France we are more interested by French and German stuff reither than English or American. That's normal I guess?!

Cool, the camo and colors of this Hat In The Ring squadron were pretty nice on the Spad. Think of it, the Lafayette flying corps Spad were nice as well, but painted like French Spads.
